Day 246: Cranberry Chicken


Serves 6-8
6-8 chicken breasts (I used boneless, skinless chicken thighs)
1 packet Onion Soup mix
1 can jellied cranberries
1 jar Russian dressing
Place all ingredients in crockpot. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or until chicken is cooked through.
Review:
Hmmm, I was a little skeptical of cranberries and Russian dressing together but it turned out quite tasty. I couldn't really tell that it was cranberries in there after it was cooked. All the flavors kind of meshed together. I asked Greg what he thought the sauce was and he thought it was some type of teriyaki sauce. He was surprised when I told him in was cranberries. Very good. Watch the cooking time. 3 stars.

  1. Ooo! I just got a really yummy recipe that is similar to this one, but you use Russian dressing and a jar of apricot preserves. (I want to say 8 oz. of each). No onion soup mix. It is SO good.
