Day 172: Sour Cream Noodle Bake

8 oz medium egg noodles, cooked and drained
1 lb ground beef, cooked and drained
1/4 tsp garlic salt
2 cans tomato sauce
pepper to taste
1 cup sour cream
1 cup cottage cheese
shredded cheddar cheese

Combine meat, garlic salt, tomato sauce and pepper in a bowl. Combine sour cream and cottage cheese in a separate bowl. Layer half of noodles, sour cream mixture, and meat mixture in 3 quart slow cooker. Repeat. Cook on low for 3 hours. Sprinkle with cheese and serve.

Review:

This is another traditional recipe that I have adapted to the slow cooker. It is kind of like a mock lasagna. It has been one of our family favorites in the oven and it works great in the slow cooker as well. I will definitely continue to use this recipe in the future. 4 stars.
