Day 93: BBQ pork sandwich

Pork shoulder, about 4 to 7 pounds, bone-in or boneless
1/4 cup of water
salt and pepper lightly
Your favorite barbecue sauce

1. Place the meat in the slow cooker with water, salt and pepper.
2. Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 hour. Tun to LOW and cook 7 to 9 hours longer, until very tender.
3. Remove roast and discard fat and juices. Chop or shred the pork; return to slow cooker. Mix a little barbecue sauce into the meat for flavor. Cook for about 1 hour longer, until hot. Serve on warm split sandwich buns with coleslaw and extra barbecue sauce on the side.

Review:
This recipe is similar to this one. The recipe is so easy and would be great for feeding a crowd. I wish that we had some bought some chips to eat with it. 3 stars.

  2. Actually, she put the chicken in frozen and put water and BBQ sauce in, then left it for about 6 hours. Then shred and place on buns!
