Description

Rotini pasta with ground beef and a creamy tomato sauce. An easy Instant Pot recipe!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 Tbsp Better than Bouillon Beef Base
  • 8 ounces rotini pasta
  • 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
  • 4 ounces cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the beef and break it up. Add in the onion. Brown for about 5 minutes. Drain off excess grease. Stir in the salt and pepper.
  2. Pour in the water and scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Instant Pot.
  3. Stir in the beef base. Sprinkle the rotini pasta into the pot. Dump the tomato paste and cream cheese on top.
  4. Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 4 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 5 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid.
  5. Stir well. Serve and enjoy. Top with a bit of parmesan cheese and basil, if desired.
