Don’t add more liquid than a recipe calls for, as liquid is retained. The recipe will get more and more liquidy (is that a word?) as time goes by as the condensation drips onto the food. If you’re adapting a traditional recipe consider reducing the amount of liquid you add or it might be a soupy mess by the time it’s ready to serve.
