Tip #1: As a general rule, lifting the lid off the slow cooker lengthens the cooking time by 30 minutes to an hour
I never knew this before! I would always lift the lid off and look inside. But apparently, the steam that’s trapped inside all escapes and then the meal won’t cook as fast.
