Review:
I usually don’t buy Rice-a-Roni but for some reason I fed it to my family a while ago and they thought it was so great. I decided that I could create a similar dish in my crockpot. It looked and smelled similar, but unfortunately did not taste similar. It was gross. I was so sad and I didn’t even finish mine. No flavor. Does anyone out there have a really great wild rice recipe? I’d like to find one because I won’t be making this one again. 1 star.
Hi Karen,
I had a similar problem when I tried this type of recipe a few years ago….even our dog wouldn't eat it! Since then I have substituted stock/broth for cream of mushroom soup (I use a can), adds heaps of flavour and thickens your rice nicely.
