Description

A crockpot meal made with ground beef, tender potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, pork and beans and melted cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

16 oz lean ground beef

1 cup diced onion

16 oz yukon gold potatoes, cut into 1 inch cubes

4 oz sliced mushrooms

2 carrots, peeled and sliced

1 tsp kosher salt

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp chili powder

½ tsp black pepper

8 oz tomato sauce

1 (15 oz) can pork and beans

½ cup water

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan over medium high heat. Add in the beef and break it up. Add in the onions. Brown for 5 minutes. Drain off excess grease. Transfer to the slow cooker.
  2. Stir in the potatoes, mushrooms, carrots, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, pepper, tomato sauce, pork and beans and water.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 2 ½ – 4 hours (my slow cooker cooks hot and it was done in about 2 ½ hours…but each slow cooker cooks differently).
  4. Remove the lid and stir in the cheddar.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
