Slow Cooker Chicken Sloppy Joes

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1 (15 oz) can sloppy joe sauce
  • 8 buns


  1. In the bottom of your slow cooker combine the pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika and sloppy joe sauce. Stir.
  2. Add in the chicken.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for about 4 hours (for breasts) or 6 hours (for thighs). Remove the chicken and shred on a cutting board. Add the chicken back in and stir.
  4. Toast the buns and serve a heaping portion of the chicken and sauce on top of each bun. Enjoy!
