Description

The easiest and most delicious marinated chicken made in your air fryer or on a grill. Tender and juicy!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cups Sprite or 7-up
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup vegetable or canola oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp horseradish, bottled or finely grated
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 pounds chicken tenderloins

Instructions

  1. In a bowl add the Sprite, soy sauce, oil, horseradish and garlic powder. Stir well.
  2. Add in the chicken tenderloins and try to immerse in the liquid as much as possible. Cover and refrigerate for at least 12, but preferably, 24 hours. Stir or flip one or twice, if possible, during the marinating time.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 375 degrees. Add in the chicken tenderloins in one layer. Shake off excess marinade. You may have to cook the chicken in batches.  Air fry for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through. Check chicken for doneness (should be 165 degrees in the middle).
  4. Let sit for 5 minutes and then serve.

Notes

You can also grill these chicken tenderloins on an outdoor grill. When ready to grill, remove the chicken from the refrigerator. Preheat an outdoor grill to medium heat (about 375 degrees F). Oil the grill, then place the chicken tenders on the grill in a single layer without overlapping them, shaking off any excess marinade (discard the marinade). Cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, until the juices run clear and the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F on an instant read thermometer.
