Nichole tried out these two recipes.  How did this game go down, Nichole?
Tomato Basil Soup:
All the ingredients for this recipe can be found right now in most cupboards. I only had to go buy half and half and celery. It was fairly easy to make, minus the roux (itโ€™s not hard, but not easy). My husband and I both liked the flavor, but neither of us thinks this is a go-to dish. Flavor was good, but nothing special. If I make it again, I might try all fresh herbs instead of dried.
Chicken and Mushrooms:
Had to go to the store for most of these ingredients. Iโ€™m not a big fan of mushrooms, so it was OK for me-but my husband really liked it! He even finished all the leftovers. I think this would be an easy dish to make for company. And I love that it doesnโ€™t use cream of whatever soup, but still has the richness.

This is a total shocker for me.  I thought for sure the soup would win, hands down.  Just goes to show that my taste buds aren’t the end all be all!
