Tricia, from Crockpot Tuesdays, is our expert reporter that got to try out these two winning dishes.  Tricia, what did you think?

Cafe Rio Chicken

Cafe Rio Chicken:
I love chicken tacos (or tacos of any sort, really) so I was really glad to have an opportunity to make this recipe. The flavor was really interesting and not like anything Iโ€™ve ever had before. As I prepared the recipe this morning, I was a little nervous about the chicken drying out because there wasnโ€™t a ton of liquid. As it turned out, I was worrying for nothing! The chicken was moist and flavorful when I got home from work. Prep time and value are huge positives for this recipe. I will probably make this recipe again, but the next time we have chicken tacos I will probably go back to my old recipe.

Zuppa Toscana

Zuppa Toscana:
I was really looking forward to the Zuppa Toscana — Iโ€™ve had it starred in my Google Reader for a long time! This soup was delicious, and Iโ€™m not exaggerating when I say that it got better with each bite. The prep time got a few points taken off because of having to brown the sausage and chop the veggies, and another negative to this recipe is that it does not use staples that I normally have in my pantry. However, the flavor of this soup is well worth it, and Iโ€™ll definitely make it again.

On a side note, these 2 recipes are some of the most searched recipes on my blog.  So I was very interested to see how they would match up side by side.  Both are seriously making my mouth water right now.  Yum.  Thanks, Tricia!

I found the Zuppa Toscana on your website over a year ago and I've probably made it a dozen times since then. It is one of my favorite recipes, and definitely my favorite for the crock pot.

If the Zuppa had not won this round, I would have protested, because the umpires had OBVIOUSLY been bribed!
