I’m sad that I don’t have a new recipe to share with you today. It’s not because of a lack of trying though! Sometimes I have some really good recipe ideas in my head but they don’t quite turn out in real life. When I first started my blog I shared every single recipe that I made and let you know what I thought and if I’d make it again. As time has gone on I’ve edited what I decide to share with you. And sometimes recipes just don’t work out well enough to actually post them.
This was supposed to be like a crockpot pizza casserole. I used biscuits and pizza sauce and other toppings. It sounds good but the uncooked biscuits were a bad plan. It probably would work well in the oven but not so much in the moist environment of the slow cooker.
P.S. Make sure to join in all the foodie fun on Pinterest!
For the Pizza Casserole, I just saw a tip from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhVkPgQ7QdY&t=30s where she puts a kitchen towel between the slow cooker and the lid. This absorbs the moisture which helps the biscuit dough cook properly for her Slow Cooker Ham & Biscuit Casserole.
Good tip!
You are a real person! Thanks for sharing your fails, I don’t feel so bad about mine now.
Haha! I wouldn’t feel bad about it if I were you…it’s just part of the process
I just started using my IP and love all your recipes. The candle in the slow cooker was the brightest tip. Can’t wait to use my plethora of almost gone candles.
Glad you’re here Beth!
I missed the candle in the slow cooker tip. Could you repeat it? Thank you.
I missed that tip about a candle in the crockpot. Please share
mmmmmmm
It makes me feel better about myself to know that other food bloggers don't always succeed! Another thing is when a recipe is delicious, but no matter how you position it, it still looks not-so-good!
You're right! Then those days when the light is bad and you can't get the food to look like it's not under a gray cloud.
