Recipe for 4-ingredient Slow Cooker (crockpot) Country-Style Ribs with Hoisin
Makes 4-6 servings
Ideal slow cooker size:  5 or 6 quart
2-3 lbs country-style pork ribs (bone-in or boneless)
3 Tbsp Hoisin sauce
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp finely grated ginger

1.  Place ribs in a single layer on the bottom of your 6 quart slow cooker.
2.  In a bowl, stir together the hoisin, soy sauce, garlic powder and ginger.  Spoon over the ribs and spread over the top to coat.
3.  Cover and cook on LOW for about 5-7 hours (depending how hot your slow cooker cooks).  They should be fork tender.
4.  Serve with additional hoisin sauce, if desired.
Review:
I was in love with the sauce from the pork sliders, so I decided to try it on ribs.  My husband loves these country-style ribs.  They’re a little fatty for my taste but every now and again, I’ll buy them.  The sauce was tasty and the kids kept requesting “more chicken.”  It’s all the same to them, I guess.  3 1/2 stars.

If I’m only cooking 1 lb, would I decrease the other ingredients in half as well? Would I still cook them the same amount of time?

Hi Marianne, you could decrease the sauce ingredients but you could also just leave it the same and have it be more saucy. You will still cook for the same amount of time.

These look SO good Karen-I like doing ribs in the crock pot too. I usually get the boneless and do a good amount of fat trimming-I don't like the fat on them either.

Looking forward to hitting a ribs sale and giving these a try.

    Thanks so much!
