Description

A sweet and savory crockpot chicken recipe made with orange juice, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil for a flavorful dinner that’s perfect served over rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 oz boneless skinless chicken thighs (frozen or fresh)
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 4 tsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 2 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • Pinch of red chili flakes
  • Sesame seeds and green onions, for topping

Instructions

  1. Add chicken thighs into bottom of slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl whisk together the soy sauce, orange juice, honey, water, vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch and chili flakes. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  3. Cover slow cooker and cook on low for 2-4 hours, depending on how hot your slow cooker cooks and whether or not your chicken is frozen.
  4. Shred up the chicken and stir it into juices. Serve topped with a sprinkling of sesame seeds and green onions.
