Description

A rich and creamy Instant Pot or slow cooker dinner made with ground beef, frozen egg noodles, pasta sauce, cream cheese, mozzarella and Parmesan for an easy family meal that tastes like a million bucks.


Ingredients

  • 16 oz lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 12 oz Reams frozen egg noodles
  • 1 (25 oz) jar tomato basil pasta sauce (I used Mezzetta brand)
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 4 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 oz shredded parmesan cheese

Instructions

Instant Pot Instructions: 

  1. Turn Instant Pot to sauté setting. When display says HOT add in the beef and break it up. Add in the onion. Brown for 5 minutes. Drain off excess grease. Stir in the salt, pepper, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. 
  2. Pour in the broth and scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Instant Pot.
  3. Add in the egg noodles. Dump pasta sauce on top. 
  4. Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set manual/pressure cook button to 5 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 10 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid.
  5. Stir in the cream cheese until melted. Stir in the mozzarella and parmesan. 
  6. Ladle into bowls and enjoy!

Slow Cooker Instructions:

  1. Heat a pan over medium high heat. Add in the beef add in the beef and break it up. Add in the onion. Brown for 5 minutes. Drain off excess grease. Stir in the salt, pepper, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Transfer to the slow cooker. 
  2. Stir in the broth, egg noodles and pasta sauce. 
  3. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours. 
  4. Stir in the cream cheese until melted. 
  5. Stir in the mozzarella and parmesan. 
  6. Ladle into bowls and enjoy!
