Description

An easy, from-scratch hotdish with ground beef, tater tots, veggies and cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz lean ground beef
  • 4 oz chopped mushrooms
  • 1 Tbsp dry minced onion
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 16 oz bag frozen mixed veggies
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 16 oz tater tots
  • 4 oz shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375° F.
  2. Heat a large pan over medium high heat. Add in the beef and break it up. Brown for 5 minutes. Add in the mushrooms, onion, salt, pepper and garlic powder and stir until mushrooms start shrinking down.
  3. Sprinkle in the flour and stir it in with the mixture. Slowly pour in the half and half and let it thicken and warm through. Stir in the veggies and heat through. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Spread in a 9×13 inch baking dish. Layer the tater tots on top. Sprinkle with the cheese.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until tots are browned and crispy.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
