*In exchange for my honest review I was compensated with a Blendtec blender. As always, all opinions are my own.
A few weeks ago I was in depression because my blender that I’ve had for 12 years burned out while I was trying to make banana ice cream. I decided to find a new blender. I asked on my facebook page which kind I should get. I heard many answers but I kept hearing the comment, “If you want the best, go for the Blendtec blenders.” Well, of course I want the best. And I got the best. I now have the black Designer Series Blendtec plus Twister Jar.
It’s impossible to tell you how awesome this blender is. I have been instagramming it since I got it a few weeks ago. It seriously has changed my life (a little dramatic, I know). The other day I was just so happy and my husband asked why and I told him, “I just love my new blender so much.” Eye roll by him. Ha ha! But I really do. I am already planning on getting one for my mom and mother-in-law for Christmas because I want them to experience the joy of blending things 🙂 Here are a few of my pictures from instagram so you can see what I’ve been making…
Strawberry Ice “Cream”…just a little bit of milk and frozen strawberries. Blend it up and it seriously is the consistency of ice cream. This is one of the most amazing things I’ve tried so far!
Beet Gazpacho: Lately, I’m in love with fresh beets. I added a fresh beet in with cucumber, tomato and onion and blended it up to make an incredibly healthy and delicious gazpacho.
Greg’s Smoothie: Even my husband has enjoyed the new Blendtec. He is making up smoothies left and right. This one he made had orange, kiwi, berries and spinach.
Tomatillo Salsa: I visited a farmer’s market and bought these yummy tomatillos. I blended them up with cilantro, onion, garlic and kosher salt to make a fresh and tasty salsa. If you want the recipe…here it is.
Blender Pancakes: This is the first time I’ve tried making blender pancakes. Basically you add wheat and the other ingredients straight into the blender. The Blendtec gets the perfect consistency for the batter. These pancakes were so so awesome! My kids and I loved them. Here is the recipe I used.
I’ve so enjoyed looking through the cookbook that came with my blender. There are so many things in there that I wouldn’t think of using my blender for such as whipped cream, banana bread, grinding meat(!), making powdered sugar out of granulated sugar, cracking whole grains, grinding wheat or other grains into whole grain flour, homemade bread crumbs, breakfast sausage, easy salsa, chocolate honey nut fondue and even whole wheat bread.
So far, I totally recommend the Blendtec blender! It is powerful and so versatile. It can do the job of many appliances…juicer, meat grinder, latte machine, bread mixer, ice cream maker, grain grinder and blender! It has a sleek design that looks great right on my counter top. The touch screen design is easy to clean. The twister jar is great for thick blends such as nut butter or hummus or baby foods. The twister jar lid scrapes the sides of the blender and helps everything get super smooth.
So if you’re in the market for a new blender…get the Blendtec. If you feel the price is just too high, save up for one. You won’t regret it. It’s awesome.
