Description

A mustard based loose meat sandwich on a hamburger bun. Satisfying and super easy to make!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 tsp Better than Bouillon beef base
  • 1/2 tsp seasoning salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • Sliced dill pickles
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

Instant Pot Instructions:

  1. Turn Instant Pot to sauté setting. When display says HOT add in the beef and break it up. Add in the onions. Brown for about 5 minutes. Drain off excess grease.  
  2. Stir in the Better than Bouillon, seasoning salt, pepper, garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce. Add in the water and scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking.
  3. Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 5 minutes. When time is up move valve to venting and remove the lid.
  4. Stir in the mustard. 
  5. Pile meat onto a hamburger bun, top with sliced pickles and cover with top half of bun. Eat and enjoy!

Slow Cooker Instructions:

  1. Add raw beef (use lean ground beef, so it’s not swimming in grease), onions, Better than Bouillon, seasoning salt, pepper, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce and water into slow cooker. Break up the meat.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high 2-3 hours. Break up the meat again.
  3. Stir in the mustard.
  4. Pile meat onto a hamburger bun, top with sliced pickles and cover with top half of bun. Eat and enjoy!
