Description

Hot dogs, served in a steamed bun, and topped with celery salt, yellow mustard, chopped onions, and a seasoned meat sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp curry
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp celery salt
  • 3/4 cup beef or chicken broth
  • 6 hot dogs
  • 6 hot dog buns
  • Toppings: minced onion, yellow mustard, celery salt

Instructions

  1. Turn Instant Pot to sauté setting. When display says HOT add in the ground beef and break it up. Add in the onions, chili powder, paprika, allspice, curry, dry mustard, cinnamon and celery salt. Brown for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add in the broth and scrape the bottom of the pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Instant Pot.
  3. Place hot dogs on top of the meat.
  4. Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 1 minute. When time is up let the pot sit for 5 minutes and then move the valve to venting. Remove the lid.
  5. Steam the hot dog buns. Place a hot dog on each bun. Top with mustard, celery salt, diced onions and a scoop of the meat mixture in the Instant Pot.
