A 5-ingredient recipe for the tastiest whipped potatoes. A better version of mashed potatoes!

- 2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded colby jack cheese
Instructions
- Pour 1 ½ cups water into bottom of Instant Pot liner. Add potatoes to a steamer basket. Lower the steamer basket into the Instant Pot liner.
- Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 10 minutes. When time is up move valve to venting and remove the lid.
- Carefully remove the steamer basket and set aside. Dump out the water in the bottom of the Instant pot liner and dry out the pot. Dump the potatoes into the bottom of the Instant Pot liner.
- Add the garlic salt, cream cheese and sour cream in with the potatoes. Use a hand mixer to whip the potatoes until creamy and smooth.
- Use a spatula to spread the mixture out evenly in the bottom of the Instant Pot liner. Sprinkle with the cheese. Place an air fryer lid on top of Instant Pot and air fry at 300 degrees for 5 minutes. (If you don’t have an air fryer lid then place the normal lid on top and keep the pot on warm for about 10 minutes until cheese has melted.)
