Description
A savory breakfast bake with hashbrown patties, sausage links and cheddar cheese, topped with a seasoned egg batter and baked to golden perfection.

- 10 pre-cooked sausage links (8 ounces)
- 5 hashbrown patties (8 ounces)
- 3 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup flour
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- Hot sauce, for serving
Instructions
- Heat oven to 400° F. Spray a 8×8 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Evenly lay out the hashbrown patties and then lay the sausage links on top. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the top.
- In a mixing bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. Cut the butter in with a fork or pastry blender. Whisk in the milk and eggs well. Pour the mixture over the top.
- Bake for 38-45 minutes (lower end for metal baking dishes, longer cooking time for glass). Poke a toothpick into the dish to make sure it is cooked through.
- Slice, serve and top with a few dashes of hot sauce or salsa.
