Description

Easy Instant Pot apple crisp that will get you all the hugs! With warm cinnamon and sugar apples and a brown sugar, oatmeal and butter topping you’ll definitely be going back for seconds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium apples, sliced into half inch pieces (peeled or unpeeled)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp white sugar
  • Dash of salt

For the crumb topping:

  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup quick or old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Dash of salt
  • 6 Tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Pour 1 ½ cups of water into Instant Pot. Add apples to a steamer basket. Place the steamer basket into the Instant Pot.
  2. Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 1 minute on low pressure. When time is up move valve to venting and remove the lid.
  3. Carefully remove the steamer basket and set aside. Discard the water and dry out the pot. Add the apples into the pot and stir in ½ tsp cinnamon, lemon juice, white sugar and salt. Stir.
  4. In a bowl add the crumb topping ingredients. Use a pastry blender or fork to cut the butter into the mixture. Sprinkle the mixture over the apples.
  5. Cover the Instant Pot with air fryer lid and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, or until topping gets browned.
  6. Scoop into bowls and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

If you don’t have an air fryer lid you can make this in the oven. Add apples, cinnamon, lemon juice, white sugar and salt to 9×9 inch dish and toss well. In a bowl add the crumb topping ingredients. Use a pastry blender or fork to cut the butter into the mixture. Sprinkle the mixture over the apples. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
