Description

A high protein, beefy asian infused dish with cabbage, carrots and rice. The perfect food to fuel you to get some work done!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 3 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup converted rice
  • 2 medium carrots, shredded
  • 4 cups shredded cabbage

Instructions

  1. Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the beef and break it up. Add in the onion. Brown for about 5 minutes. Drain off excess grease.
  2. Stir in the salt, pepper, garlic powder, sesame oil, ginger, soy sauce, rice vinegar and beef broth. Scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Instant Pot.
  3. Sprinkle in the rice. Dump in the carrots and cabbage.
  4. Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 5 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 10 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid.
  5. Stir. Serve and enjoy.
