Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup bacon crumbles
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Diced green onion and tomato, for topping
Instructions
- Add Worcestershire, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper into a bowl and stir. Add the chicken breasts to a bowl and turn the chicken to coat it in the seasonings. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour and up to 24 hours.
- When ready to cook heat a large pan over medium high heat. Add in the oil and swirl around. Add in the chicken and let sear on one side for 3 minutes, turn over and sear for 3 more minutes. Cover the pan and turn heat to low and cook for 5 minutes.
- Heat oven to 400° F. Place chicken in a pan and brush each breast with about 1 Tablespoon of barbecue sauce (using the total 1/4 cup across all four pieces). Divide the bacon, Monterey Jack and cheddar evenly among the chicken breasts.
- Bake for 5 minutes. Make sure the middle of the chicken breast has reached 165°.
- Slice and serve topped with green onion and tomato, if desired.
