And the winner is…
|Pork and Scalloped Potatoes
Cindy, our reporter has been busy with this close game. Cindy, how did the game go tonight?
The first recipe we made with the Pork and Scalloped Potatoes. We really liked this. The pork was tender and the potatoes were yummy. I did add a little cornstarch to thicken it because it was a little runny. The only thing my family would have liked more is if it was cheesy. My husband thinks of augratin and scalloped potatoes as the same thing. There was leftovers only because my hubby is on a diet. My kids all had extras though. My oldest gave it a 4 and I think I would agree.
The second recipe was the Chicken Lasagna. We really liked this one too. I really liked the flavor given from the spinach and the red peppers. I think I would cut back the red peppers a little because it was almost a little too overwhelming (a little less would give the flavor but not take it over). Also…the mushrooms didn’t do much for me either way. You could hardly tell they were there. Maybe that is good because then the kids eat them without knowing they are there (if you have picky kids anyways). There was leftovers only because it is for 10-12 servings and there was only 6 of us eating. But both my husband and our guest raved about it. I think we would have to give it a 4.5 total and therefore…the win!
Wow 4 to 4.5. What a close game. Lovin the chicken lasagna! It will be matching up with the Mexican Lasagna in the next round. They should be pretty comparable.
