Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound Jimmy Dean sausage
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup bacon crumbles
  • 1 (15 oz) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/4 cup Heinz ketchup
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce

Instructions

Instant Pot Instructions

  1. Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the sausage and break it up. Add in the onions and peppers. Brown sausage for about 5 minutes. 
  2. Stir in the bacon, pinto beans, kidney beans, ketchup, vinegar, mustard and tomato sauce. 
  3. Cover Instant Pot. Set Instant Pot to the Slow Cooker setting on “more”. Cook for 1-2 hours. 
  4. Stir. Serve and enjoy!

Slow Cooker Instructions

  1. Heat a pan over medium high heat. Add in the sausage and break it up. Add in the onions and peppers. Brown sausage for about 5 minutes. Transfer to the slow cooker.
  2. Stir in the bacon, pinto beans, kidney beans, ketchup, vinegar, mustard and tomato sauce. 
  3. Cover and cook on high for 1-2 hours. 
  4. Stir. Serve and enjoy!
