Finding Affordable Airfare for Travel is Half the Battle

This is the second article in a series of posts about travel that my husband, Greg, is writing.  In the first post Greg talked about why cruising is the best vacation.  If you have a question for Greg please email me at [email protected] and he will answer your question in an upcoming post!
How I Find Good Deals on Airfare

The best resource I have found in finding affordable airfare
is a website called Airfare Watchdog This is not a paid endorsement even
though I wish it were… haha! Here is what I recommend that you doโ€ฆ First, go to
their website and plug in your departure city and the arrival city you are
looking to fly into (if you’re looking to cruise you may want to put in all port cities like Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Los Angeles, etc.)  AirfareWatchdog will then send you emails of deals that
they find, they also send you good deals from your home departure city to other
major cities domestically and internationally. The singular key to finding good
deals is to have flexibility.
I know that is easier said than done, but flexibility
in your travel plans will allow you to save A LOT of money!!! The kids can miss
a little school every now and then and your boss and colleagues at work can
cover your workload for a week! Flexibility is the key!

For example, on Monday
of last week Airfare Watchdog sent me an email that airfare from Salt Lake City
to Chicago was $64 roundtrip for a direct flightโ€ฆ You read that right! SIXTY
FOUR DOLLARS ROUNDTRIP. We had no intention of going to Chicago but for that
price how could we not go?!! I highly recommend you go to airfarewatchdog.com and when good airfare comes hurry and buy it because it usually goes extremely
quickly.

Hi! I'm Karen

I know that dinner time can be less than relaxing. Busy schedules and cranky kids and a hundred other things can lead to weariness when it comes to putting dinner on the table. I can help! I make homemade, family-friendly slow cooker and Instant Pot dinners and share the recipes with you.
Karen
