Review:
This recipe comes from my Grandma…although I’ve altered it a bit since it is a traditional recipe that I adapted to the slow cooker. We have this every year for Thanksgiving. I can remember less than 5 times when I did not go to my Grandma’s house for Thanksgiving. I love it and as everyone knows, no one cooks like Grandma! Yams are probably the least popular dish at Thanksgiving in most people’s minds. I, however, quite enjoy them and look forward to eating them each year. The sauce on this dish could probably be cut down by 1/4, since the slow cooker doesn’t let anything evaporate.
