3 (16 oz) packages whole green beans
1 onion, chopped
6 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 cup water
2 tbsp butter
Combine all ingredients except butter in 4-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until beans and onions are tender. Drain off water and return ingredients to slow cooker. Add butter, cover, and cook for 30 minutes longer. Stir and serve.
This was a side dish that wasn’t anything too spectacular. I think I was the only one that ate it at my house. Next time I’ll save myself some time and ingredients and just steam the green beans. 2 stars.
