1 pound chicken tenders
1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes with liquid
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
3 tsp minced garlic
1 1/2 tsp cajun seasoning
1/4 tsp crushed bay leaves
Combine all ingredients in greased 3 1/2 to 5-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low heat 6-8 hours. Serve over hot cooked pasta of your choice.
Although this sounds good, it isn’t. There isn’t nearly enough flavor. It seemed very bland to me. I wonder if adding a bit of garlic salt might help. It also cooks a lot faster than the recommended 6-8 hours. Mine was done in about 3 hours. 2 stars.
