Day 231: Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding

Serves 8
4 eggs
2 cups milk
1 cup white sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
4 cups cubed French bread (I just used regular bread)
2 bananas, sliced
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Mix eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in bread, bananas, and chocolate chips and let rest 5 minutes for bread to soak. Pour into greased 3 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours.
Review:
I thought I would love this dessert because I love bananas and chocolate together. I wasn’t a fan of it though. I decided I don’t love warm bananas (unless it is totally smashed up and in warm banana bread). I think I’ll try another bread pudding minus the bananas sometime soon. It definitely had potential. 2 stars.

I too love those flavors and loooove banana bread and am thinking about making this. I like bananas foster, I would think I would like this. Why not mash the bananas though? Would that not work for some reason, if all you did not like is the chunks?
