Review:
My family has been in love with steel cut oats lately. So I thought I would try them out in the crockpot. I put them in right before I went to bed so I could have them for breakfast. I think because my crockpot is so large and I only put one cup of oats in they got really crusty on the bottom. There was only a small portion that I could actually eat. I think it would have been better in a smaller, deeper crockpot. They did taste good though and have quite an interesting texture.
I have a 1.5 L crockpot that I put in 1/4 cup steel cut oats and at least 4 times the water (often more, I like my oats very moist) and leave overnight on low. Turns out awesome.
