- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup chili sauce
- 1/4 cup apricot preserves/jam/spread
- 4 oz cream cheese, cut into cubes
- 8 Cobblestone Bread Co. buns or rolls
Instructions
- Add the chicken to the slow cooker.
- Dump in the chili sauce, apricot and cream cheese cubes into the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 2-4 hours, or until chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Remove chicken and place on a cutting board. Shred and return to the slow cooker.
- Stir until chicken is incorporated into the sauce.
- Serve chicken on top of toasted buns/rolls. Add cheese and caramelized onions to sandwiches, if desired.
Notes
Ideal slow cooker size: 4-5 quart
