I just tried the recipe for Tomato Basil Soup that was in the printed version. The version you linked to has a different recipe. Anyway, my ward has high standards for food. Most of the time I bring home a lot of leftovers. Not tonight. The soup rocked! Thanks, glad they featured your blog!
Thank you for your post Karen. I do like cooking and have done so for my family (5 children) for many years. However, my husband and I are in our late seventies now and have neuropathy and balance problems. I can't stand on my feet long enough to prepare a meal. I have crock pots of different sizes and they save the day… We can prepare a healthy meal at home with little impact to our legs, and it's delicious. Crock pots for the elderly are a Godsend! We look forward to trying your recipes. I'm especially interested in trying your oatmeal recipe. Cook while you sleep – how unique! Thank you. Sherri Graham
I found your blog from the Alumni alumni too!!! I love it and am grateful to have stumbled on to it and really grateful to be Alumni at BYU!(soon!!! I am walking this week!!! :D)
Hi Karen, I found your blog from the BYU article and I just have to say how grateful I am that I found you! I have tried for the past 13 years of our marriage to enjoy cooking dinner, but to no avail. I just don't like it. I am so thrilled to try your recipes because 1) it will save me time in the kitchen 2) they don't look too hard but they look really yummy 3) it will help with the health problems I am having. Since I am pre-diabetic, I have to eat every 3 hours or my blood sugar gets low and I end up getting sick and not being able to do anything. If it's 4 or 4:30 and I haven't started on dinner, it's a big problem. This way, it will be ready when I need it and my husband and kids won't have to worry about me! So thank you!!
