Description
A casserole version of the Kentucky hot brown sandwich. With turkey, toast, cheese sauce, bacon and tomatoes you can’t go wrong.

- 4 slices of white bread
- 8 ounces of turkey, chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 2 ounces swiss cheese
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup bacon crumbles
- 2 Tbsp shredded parmesan cheese
- 1 small roma tomato, diced
- 1/8 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375° F. Toast the bread and cut into cubes. Place the cubes evenly into the bottom of a 8×8 inch pan. Top the toast with the turkey.
- In a large pan over medium low heat melt the butter. Slowly whisk in the flour and whisk until it is golden in color. Whisk in the milk, cream, ½ cup parmesan and swiss until the cheese is melted and sauce has thickened. Stir in the salt and pepper. Spread the mixture over the turkey and bread.
- Sprinkle the bacon, 2 Tbsp of parmesan, tomatoes and paprika on top.
- Bake for 20 minutes. Serve immediately.
