Anniversary!

Happy anniversary to me.

2 years ago I started this blog!  Since then…

  • I’ve appeared on tv, radio and in print (14 different times)
  • Cooked 365 different slow cooker recipes
  • Written 559 different blog posts about slow cooking
  • Taught 20 or so slow cooker classes
  • Sold hundreds of cookbooks
  • And my 2 slow cookers that I started with are still with me today (they may be getting a sibling soon)

1 year ago today this is how happy I felt inside…

You know.  So happy you can’t stop smiling and your cheeks hurt.  Your eyes are about to pop out of your head happy.  Afterall, I had just finished one of the hardest, longest projects of my life.  It’s a good feeling to be done with something like that.

So in honor of my 2nd anniversary, I’d like to give away 2 cookbooks.  Leave a comment on this post and tell me what your favorite recipe from my blog is.  I’ll end the giveaway on February 4, 2011.
The winners have been chosen.  Thanks to all who entered!

Your cookbook has revolutionized dinner time. My husband now actually goes through it to pick out things he would like me to try. Let's just say the Tomato Basil Parmesan soup is on his short list along with Cafe Rio Chicken. I ordered and gave away your cookbook for Christmas presents. I think I am going to celebrate my own anniversary of the first time I cooked out of your cookbook. Happy #2 to you. Thanks for putting a smile on my family's faces.

I am so excited to find your website. My daughter cooked dinner for our family of 8 yesterday as I have started back to work. She found your tomato basil Parmesan soup recipe in the BYU magazine and tried it. We absolutely love it. Thank you so much.
I have been a stay-at-home mom for 23 years, homeschooling my 6 kids and running my own daycare for many of those years. Now three of my children are in college (one getting married in two weeks)and two in high school with one still homeschooling. I re-entered the work place part-time last week. I wish I had had your tenacity to come up with such a wonderful idea to make money while raising my family. You go Sister. Where can I find your cookbook? HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
