Serves 6-8
6 to 8 pork chops, bone-in or boneless
3/4 cup water
onion, sliced
lemon, sliced
Sauce:
2 to 3 cans tomato sauce (can use diced or stewed tomatoes or half of each)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
cooked rice
Brown chops in water on the stove top. Place in crockpot, pouring leftover water on top. Place 1 slice of onion and 1 slice of lemon on each pork chop as you layer them in the crockpot. Combine sauce ingredients and pour gently over pork chops. Cook for 2 to 3 hours on High. Serve with rice.
Review:
I ended up only putting 2 pork chops in the slow cooker; however, I still used a whole lemon. Bad idea. Bad, bad idea. The lemon was so potent. I think as time goes by the lemon rind gets even more potent. This was yuck. I think that it would have been a lot better had I not overwhelmed the flavor with the lemon. 2 stars.

One of my favourite childhood dishes…. Mom called it pork chop supreme, and cooked it in the oven.. I always put some of the sauce on baked potato.

One of our fav crockpot recipes is lemon pork chops. We put the chops in the CP (unbrowned), sprinkle with salt & pepper, lay onion slices, then lemon slices, then sprinkle with brown sugar & drizzle with ketchup. Cook on low for 6-ish hours. The meat gets so tender, and I've never noticed it getting too lemony. We like it served with steamed potatoes.
