Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (3 1/2 pound) rack of pork st. louis ribs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp kosher salt and pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups apple juice
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

Instant Pot Instructions:

  1. Take your ribs out of the packaging and cut off silver skin. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels. Place the ribs on a baking sheet.
  2. Sprinkle the ribs with the salt and pepper. Rub the brown sugar all over the ribs.
  3. Pour 1 ½ cups apple juice into bottom of Instant Pot. Place a trivet into the pot. Place the ribs in the Instant Pot so that the ribs coil around the inside of the pot.
  4. Cover with lid and lock into place. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 30 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 20 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid.
  5. Use two sets of tongs to carefully move the ribs to a foil covered baking sheet.
  6. Measure ¼ cup of apple juice out of the Instant Pot and stir it together in a small bowl with the barbecue sauce.
  7. Brush the ribs on both sides with half of the bbq sauce. Broil in the oven on high for 3 minutes. Remove from oven and brush with the remaining bbq sauce. Broil for 3 more minutes or until sauce is sticky.
  8. Serve and enjoy!
