3 Reasons You Should Choose Water

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Brita, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #BritaOnTheGo http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV”

You’re used to seeing the Brita pitchers in your refrigerator but did you know they now have Brita filtered water bottles at Walmart?  Pretty cool if you ask me! Now instead of buying water bottles that you throw away after one use you can have great tasting filtered water with these reusable water bottles.  They are perfect to throw into your purse or your kids backpack or sports bag. Any time it runs out, stop by a water fountain and you’ll be good to go with more filtered water.

there are many reasons that water is the best choice

Before I had kids I worked at a college as a wellness coordinator. As part of my job, I taught people in a one on one setting about getting healthy. One of the VERY first things we taught them was to start drinking more water! It is a fairly easy behavior to incorporate into your life and can make a big difference in how your body feels and functions. Why should you choose water?  Well let me tell you…besides the reasons listed above here are 3 more:

1 filter can replace 300 water bottles

3 Reasons You Should Choose Water:
1. Dehydration causes your metabolism to slow down.  60-70% of your body is made up of water, and you lose a lot of it through normal bodily processes like digestion and fat metabolism. If your body doesn’t get enough water, these and other functions are compromised. I don’t know about you but I need the fastest metabolism I can get!
2. Water decreases headaches and fatigue. Whenever I start to get a headache I immediately get a big glass of water. It usually helps a lot!
3. Water fills you up. By drinking water you can curb your appetite. Dehydration can make your body go in search of water, signaling you to eat more, this is sometimes referred to as “artificial hunger.” I like to drink a big glass of water before meals to make sure I’m actually hungry and not just thirsty.

Make sure to incorporate at least 64 ounces of water into your day…not just during meals. The Brita water bottle can definitely help with this. You’ll be able to stop at any water fountain you see and fill up your bottle and it will magically become filtered, tasty water.

Next time you’re at Walmart grab a Brita water bottle for yourself (they’re in the hardware or kitchen section).  And you’ll want to get one for your kids too! They will definitely use them during sports season or for those hot days of doing yard work!

I totally let my son who’s 6 mow the lawn (that resembled prairie grass) the other day. He was in heaven. He thought it was the greatest thing ever. I’m hoping he’ll continue thinking it’s great (yardwork to me = the worst thing ever).
