Instant Pot 3-Ingredient Rump Roast–an easy Instant Pot recipe. Beef pot roast is cooked until tender in the electric pressure cooker. If desired you can also make carrots and potatoes with the roast.

Place roast in your Instant Pot. Pour in the water and sprinkle with onion soup mix and the au jus gravy mix. Pressure cook 90 minutes on high pressure.

Once the time is up, vent. Remove the lid. Add in the potatoes and carrots. Replace the lid and pressure cook 4 or 5 minutes. Let the pot sit 10-15 minutes and then move the valve to venting.

Place the meat and vegetables on a platter and set aside. Turn Instant Pot to sauté. Make a cornstarch slurry in a small bowl. Stir it into the pot. Whisk until thickened.

Serve the gravy with the roast and optional vegetables. Eat and enjoy!
