Do you ever find yourself in a conversation with a friend or family member and you realize that you’ve let your mind wander and you have no idea what he/she’s been talking about for the past 5 minutes? Or maybe you half listen while multi-tasking and when the conversation is over you realize you didn’t really hear what he/she said. Perhaps you’ve been on the other side of this when you get the feeling that your spouse just isn’t listening to what you’re trying to tell him/her. Being a good listener isn’t something that’s natural for most people. It’s a skill that is very rare. But it’s a skill that you can work on and get better at. On today’s podcast Heidi and I cover the topic of how to become a better listener. We cover 4 tips on how to become a better listener as well as the 5 levels of listening by Stephen Covey.
