My favorite thing(s) to make in my slow cooker are beans, beans, beans. I love to have chickpeas, navy beans, baby and large soup size limas and lots and lots of pinto beans on hand ready for whatever I think up, often a slow cooker recipe. So I cook the dry beans, mess and worry free, overnight in the slow cooker, drain and freeze them in serving sizes the next morning! This helps me keep my hubby's salt restricted diet under control.
