6 chicken breast halves
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cup dry bread crumbs
1-2 tbsp canola oil (enough to coat a pan)
1 can pizza sauce
1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
Dip chicken into beaten egg, salt and pepper. Roll in bread crumbs. Brown meat in oil. Place chicken in slow cooker. Pour pizza sauce over the top. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and cook on low for 3-5 hours (depending on how fast your slow cooker cooks). Serve over pasta.
My family and I really enjoyed this meal. It is going to be put in the rotation. So easy, so kid friendly. I was excited to have the leftovers the next day. I’ve never bought pizza sauce before I did this recipe. Whenever recipes call for it I always used pasta sauce. Is there really a difference? Maybe that’s why this was so good. 4 stars.
