This is not a crockpot tip, but I find it so helpful that I’ll share it with you anyway. I have fruit flies every now and then in my kitchen. They hover over my fruit bowl and they gross me out. One way to get rid of them is to pour a little apple cider vinegar in a small bowl and one drop of dishwashing soap and stir it up. Leave it on the counter. The fruit flies will me attracted to it and soon you’ll have a fruit fly graveyard. Works for me every time!

Hey, it works as a crockpot tip. You don't want annoying fruit flies hovering around you as you prepare the food to go in the crockpot. Or worse yet, fly into it while you're closing the lid.

We get them, too, that is a great tip! I will try it out, thank you!
